Captains are larger versions of Lieutenants, that are encountered on levels X-1 to X-3. Captains appear during the final battles in the Horde Pits, commanding Hordes, that spawn in the Pit. Captains have Elite Affixes, which makes them harder to defeat. Captains in Onslaught have 2 Affixes, in Invasion - 3 Affixes, in Apocalypse - 4 Affixes.
